Privacy Policy
How this site handles information. Last updated 5 August 2026.
The short version
Your timecard never leaves your device. Every calculation on this site runs inside your browser. There is no account, no login, and no server that receives the times you type, the hourly rate you enter, or the employee name you put on a printout. We cannot see your timecard, because it is never sent to us.
What follows explains that in full, along with the third-party services that do collect limited technical information when you visit.
Information stored on your device
The calculator saves your work locally so a refresh does not wipe it. This uses your browser's local storage, which is a private area on your own computer or phone. It is not a cookie and it is not transmitted anywhere.
- Your timecard. Punch times, break minutes, pay period settings, hourly rate, currency, and any employee name or pay-period label you type. Stored separately for each calculator page you use.
- Your theme preference, so the site remembers light or dark mode.
You can erase all of it at any time with the Clear button on the calculator, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Uninstalling or clearing your browser removes it permanently. We have no copy.
Shareable links
The Copy link button encodes your whole timecard into the web address itself. Nothing is uploaded when you do this — the data travels inside the link. But please note that anyone who receives that link can open the same timecard, and links you paste into third-party chat, email or ticketing systems may be stored or scanned by those services. Think before sharing a card that carries an employee name.
Analytics
We load Google Tag Manager, a container that manages which measurement tags run on the site. Through it we use Google Analyticsto understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. Between them they record technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, referring website, and time on page, and they set cookies to distinguish one visit from another.
Analytics measures page visits only. It does not receive your timecard entries, your hourly rate, or anything you type into the calculator. Google Analytics 4 uses the IP address to derive approximate location and does not log or store it.
Because tags are managed through a container, the specific measurement and advertising services running on the site can change without this page being edited the same day. The categories described here — analytics and advertising — are the only purposes for which tags are used.
You can opt out across all sites with theGoogle Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. The calculator works perfectly with analytics blocked.
Advertising
This site may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense and other third-party vendors. These vendors use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly ataboutads.info or the NAI opt-out page.
Advertising vendors never receive your timecard data, because that data is never transmitted from your browser in the first place.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by a content delivery network. Like any web host, it processes standard server request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — to deliver pages and protect against abuse and denial-of-service attacks. These logs are retained by the hosting provider under its own policy.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
- We do not require or collect names, email addresses, or payment details.
- We do not operate a database of users or timecards.
- We do not send marketing email, because we have no address to send it to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and CPRA, or similar laws — including the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, and to object to processing.
In practice, the data you would ask us to delete is already under your sole control: your timecard sits in your own browser and the Clear button removes it. For anything held by the analytics or advertising services described above, use the opt-out links in those sections or contact us and we will help as far as we are able.
